The Cider House is situated in the grounds of Buckland Abbey, an historic Cistercian abbey formerly owned by Francis Drake and now run by the National Trust. Buckland Abbey is set near Yelverton, between Tavistock and Plymouth. The abbey overlooks the Tavy valley and has paths leading down to the River Tavy, possibly originally used by the monks for smuggling! Exact details of our location will be given to you at the time of booking. However, the map below will give you a general idea of where we are.
